Volunteer Video Testimonial

The Food Bank of El Dorado County is lucky to have many compassionate people who serve as volunteers. Our Volunteers donate thousands of hours each month. This group comes together for one common cause, which is to help others in thier communities. Food Bank Volunteers are the life blood of our organization.

We have many Volunteer positions at the Food Bank of El Dorado County.

Volunteer in the Warehouse, in our Administrative Offices or in the community.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

• Help coordinate a food drive

• Help with special events

• Help at a food distribution site

• Help sort donated food

• Help to answer phones

• Help with Data entry/Computer support

• Help Transport donated foods

• Help with a fundraiser

Are you a member of a local Community Service Organization or any other group that would like to help? The Food Bank would love to send a representative to speak to your group about working together to help others in your community.

Become an ambassador. Help the Food Bank educate the community about local hunger and our plan to put an end to it.

Join the team helping to fight local hunber by volunteering a few hours per week in one of the following jobs at our Placerville location. All positions are week days. Pick a day or volunteeer for out call-in pool.

Warehouse
Help sort and load food. No heavy lifting. 8:00am-12:00pm.

Office
Answer phones and perform various administrative tasks. Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel needed. 9:00am-1:00pm.

Food Collection
With a staff member help collect donated food from grocery stores. 6:30am-10:30am.

Truck Driver
Drive our truck to food distribution sites and help conduct the distribution. 9:30am-12:00pm approx.
